School Council meeting began by introducing the role of school council, as well as expectations of class representations. 

After sharing the role of school council representatives, we looked at the roles of chairperson, secretary and treasurer. The representatives that wanted to nominate themselves put their names forward then we had a vote. The results of that vote are as follows:

Chairperson – Deeva Morgan

Secretary – Lakendra Chambers-Jenkins

Treasurer – Leon Richards

Rachel introduced herself and shared what her role as attendance officer entails. 

Next, we talked about upcoming events in school including; Mental Health Awareness Day, Show Racism the Red Card and Children in Need. Representatives were sent back to class to get ideas from class members for fundraising.

Our safeguarding officer wasn't present today so she will introduce herself next meeting. 

Our representatives were excited to get started on sharing the ideas they had already been thinking about for school council and they decided that each class would create an ideas box. Each school council meeting the representatives would bring their boxes to class and share the ideas inside.
