Autumn Term 2023-Year 11

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here.

Year 11’s have been working hard this term with lots of vocational activities going on alongside pupils’ academic studies. Pupils have been hard at work studying for their C.S.C.S qualification- this will give them the appropriate training for working on construction sites. They have also started a Land Maintenance course and are looking forward to putting these skills into practice. Despite the Autumn weather, pupils have been surfing every week and enjoying wellbeing walks. Cynnydd workers have continued taking pupils to Bulldogs gym where they are working towards a fitness and conditioning qualification. They were fortunate to be able to take part in the group's Remembrance Day service alongside the veterans that also attend Bulldogs.

The theme this term has been ‘Keeping Safe’. As part of this, we have been looking at keeping healthy in both body and mind. Chris from Platform (a mental health charity) has been holding weekly workshops for pupils. Groups have been working together to discuss how to ask for help and from whom; developing listening skills and working as a team. Hopefully we will see Chris again soon.
