The Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA) is a national support charity which aims to support families, raise awareness and facilitate research into the group os neurodegenerative diseases commonly known as Batten disease.  

The BDFA is supporting the Jeffrey’s Biker Journey 2023 campaign, working with them to raise invaluable awareness of Batten disease as they embark on their multiple rides across the UK over the next 3 months.

Jeffrey has had a wonderful time here at Ysgol Hendrefelin to raise awareness this week, and has been reading with the pupils, mountain biking, taking part in Science lessons and completing admin tasks on our school office! He's made lots of friends-he's even had a cuppa with our Headteacher, Assistant Head and our Chair of Governors. And fed the chickens!
