New curriculum developments are exciting for both staff and pupils!  Our school has been busily preparing for the new curriculum which came into effect in September 2022 for pupils in our Learning Support Centre. In September 2023, we will introduce the new curriculum at Years 7 and 8.

Underpinning the new curriculum are Four Purposes which will be at the heart of learning.

Everything that is taught and learnt at school will have these Four Purposes as starting points when staff plan for the enriched learning experiences that pupils will receive.  These Four Purposes are exactly the same for pupils at all ages but may appear in different ways in each class.

We have also worked collaboratively with a number of different stakeholders to design Four Purposes characters to symbolise and make the statements 'pupil-friendly'. Please see our characters in the menu. These characters can be seen across the school.  As a staff we have audited the Four Purposes and discussed how they look in each of our classes.
