Key Stage 3 visit the Peri-Music Roadshow

An unforgettable opportunity to experience a live orchestra

Today, our Key Stage 3 pupils had the incredible opportunity to attend a live orchestra performance, which was entirely put together by our wonderful music teachers. The excitement was palpable as we entered the concert hall, and the energy only grew when the orchestra kicked off the show with a fantastic mix of tunes that had everyone tapping their feet and nodding along.

The selection of music was absolutely brilliant, featuring catchy tracks like "Uptown Funk" and "Proud Mary," as well as iconic pieces from "Jaws" and nostalgic tunes from the game "Mario." Each piece had the pupils mesmerised, and the variety made for an engaging experience that truly showcased the versatility of orchestral music.

Throughout the performance, the children were introduced to the different sections of the orchestra, learning about the instruments found in the woodwind, brass, string, and percussion sections. The joy on their faces was priceless, especially when they got up for a boogie during the more upbeat numbers!

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that sparked a love for music in many of our pupils, and a lovely reminder of the magic that live performances can bring.
